PUBLIC INFORMATION: NATIONAL GRID VISUAL IMPACT PROVISION (VIP)

National Grid is carrying out ground investigation surveys to inform plans that could see a 3km section of existing overhead electricity transmission line running across Hale Purlieu in the New Forest National Park replaced with underground cables. 

Appointed contractors Mott MacDonald and Structural Soils Ltd will run the surveys from November for a period of 4 weeks in various lcoations across Hale Purlieu (locations agreed with Natural England, the New Forest National Park Authority, the Forestry Commission, the National Trust, and the Verderers of the New Forest.
